The Friends of Burnley Gardens
was formed in 1998. The group aims to
- provide
support for and foster public awareness of the historic Burnley
Gardens
- assist
with special projects selected by the Friends in consultation
with Burnley Campus staff
- bring
into contact people with a common interest in the Burnley Gardens
The
Friends meet monthly throughout the year. Guest speakers attend
some meetings to talk on a variety of topics, generally related
to the Gardens, to horticulture or to an associated subject.
Other
activities include trips to gardens of interest, working bees in
the Gardens and social events.
